The Challenge

Attracting top talent is about more than a salary figure and bonus scheme. Employees want to get a feel for your organisation, and see if they can picture themselves being happy working for you.

Carbon Black recognised this challenge when trying to expand its EMEA sales team, and wanted to shoot some videos showcasing its office culture. But with no internal resource to make the video, it was going to be a challenge.

The Solution

I was asked to lead the production of a series of videos showcasing what it’s like to work at Carbon Black, including the one above focusing on office culture. I handled all elements of project management and production, as well as storyboarding the video, identifying B-Roll footage that we’d need, and prepping all our interviewees.

On the day, I directed the shoot, working with a wide range of Carbon Black people including new starters and the VP for EMEA. We got everything we needed in one day, and post-production was handled smoothly to deliver a slick video Carbon Black is still proud to include on its YouTube channel.
